Their machinery is up-to-date and serviced regularly in the company’s dedicated workshops. After researching various software providers, Buntons chose Syrinx five years ago. Buntons’ Chris Exley explains, “We were doing everything by hand – through job sheets and our Manager’s Diary. Everything was either on paper or in our heads, so we needed a system to become more organised.”
Chris says that Buntons found the implementation process very smooth. “We went live very quickly. It was only 3 months between initialisation and going live, and after the implementation and training we all found the system easy to use. “There are very useful links. The system is seamless and tidy. The Archive feature is good, as we can look back at a particular machine or Buntons customer and research back to that date. The information doesn’t have to be in our memories any more. We had a good example this morning: a Fitter wanted to know if a part was still under warranty, so we were able to go back and check the date immediately.”
According to Chris, the biggest benefit that Buntons have discovered by installing Syrinx is time. He comments, “we used to spend a lot of time looking for information, but now it’s all there with the click of a button.”
