When a previous system failed to hit the mark, Site Equip Ltd turned to Syrinx – and was delighted with the results.
Sonia Gilbert, Sales and Marketing Director, explains: “We had some serious problems with our old hire system because it was a DOS system and wasn’t easy to navigate. When we were looking for a new system we noted that Syrinx was one of the first to do continuous invoicing in addition to stock control, and the Higher Concept team were willing to develop their system in line with our specific needs.”
Implementation was extremely smooth
Running a busy operation, with an extensive customer offering, Site Equip Ltd needed to get things up and running with minimum delay: “Implementation was extremely smooth. The Higher Concept team wrote the software so that we could move from one system to the other at the touch of a button. That was really helpful. We ran both systems for about a month before going live – and Higher Concept were very supportive throughout. Our staff adapted quickly too – it’s so self-explanatory that anyone with knowledge of how hire works can easily pick it up.”
Focus on service and growth
With Syrinx now in place, the Site Equip team has more time to focus on delivering class-leading service to customers and can work hard on building the business – safe in the knowledge that Syrinx will be able to cope with any growth. Sonia continues: “We’ve been impressed with the way that the system has been able to grow with us – and that it is continually developing too. Higher Concept Software always keep on top of technology so we can be confident we have the most innovative hire software available. The Hire Contract feature has proven to be of real benefit – we use it every day and the fact that we can change the setup is good to as it means we can accommodate a wide variety of customers, including one-off and continuous customers, etc. The flexibility is excellent.”

The people are brilliant. Sometimes I need help generating a report and they will get back to me the same day with details of what to do, even if they’re really busy.
