Running a complex contract equipment hire business using a variety of time intensive manual systems was limiting the responsiveness and operational efficiency of the company. With the fleet spread across four sites at Coseley, Birmingham, Loughborough and Stoke on Trent, office staff found themselves under pressure having to repeatedly capture hire information, across the multiple paper-based record systems. Each day the office based teams undertake a range of tasks that include the coordination of site assessments, crew allocations, and the organisation of traffic management and road closures for major transports and site lifts.

An auto alert facility warns when equipment certificates are due to expire, and ensures staff with the right qualifications are correctly matched to hire equipment. The company also uses Syrinx to manage the training and development plans for its operators, lifting supervisors and support staff, maintaining detailed records of certifications and automatically managing health and safety renewal training as required. Syrinx also aids Dewsbury & Proud to strive towards operating as a paper free company, as they are able to scan all time sheets and hire documents and attach them to each individual hire file.
